HEC Holds 1st Aptitude Test for Undergraduate Programs
Islamabad, Higher Education Commission Pakistan is responsible for grant of admission in the higher classes in the universities located in the government and private sectors. Now HEC has conducted the first aptitude test for grant of admission to the students in the undergraduate programs in the universities.
HEC informed the heads of all of the universities formally seeking their confirmation and permission for HEC backed ‘Education Testing Council’ (ETC) to organize their aptitude test during fall semester of 2018. The testing service will be provided to the students free of cost and the admission test will be conducted in 5 disciplines and the registration of the candidates will be done online.
The ETC will hold the tests for admission to the undergraduate programs for fall 2018 in the 5 major categories like medical, basic and natural sciences, engineering, management sciences and natural sciences, arts and humanities. The aptitude test will be conducted in the big cities of the country and it will be done in the transparent and fair environment. The registration of the candidates will be done online and the candidates will choose their own test centers.
The higher education commission asked the varsities for the support of the ETC test and also adopt it. The HEC asked the universities to recommend the focal person and they need to make available the infrastructure facilities for the aptitude test and higher education commission will claim the test fee not from the students but from the government.
